Search for an illustrator [27-01-12]
We are looking for an illustrator for a small job for one of our clients. We have had a great deal of interest in this work so we have put together a pitching procedure for anyone interested.
Pitching procedure
Send a sample of relevant work (as similar to that required for the brief as possible) or have a stab at one of the illustrations in the brief if you prefer.
The client
A Cornwall-based farm shop and country store.
End use of artwork
Cornwall parish and village magazines, these are mainly monochrome and can vary in quality. One of the illustrations would also be used to form part of an A5 ad for the wider media.
History
The client has been working with illustrations along a similar cartoon style (see cartoon drawings below) and is looking to move to illustrations that are similar, yet more sophisticated and less "cartoony".
The job you could win
We're looking to commission a series of eight illustrations, that are simple and stylish, to be used as described above. The subjects of the illustrations will include: Fresh veg, Fire wood and coal, Pet food.
Budget for the job
It's tight I'm afraid. We have £150 for these.
